However, we honor the time and talents of our service partners. For complex or frequently changed databases we offer an affordable Database Entry Service.

Unlike the other aspects of our service partner network, this service is not free. We charge a small fee. However, we consider the availability of this service to be an additional benefit of being our service partner. The fee covers our labor and other expenses connected with data entry tasks.

We have found that our service-partners keep their rates databases in various formats. These might be hard copies or electronic files in various formats such as PDF, TIF, MS Word, Excel, etc.

In order to make the database recognizable by our system, the rates must be transferred into a Microsoft Excel® format file as described in our previous instructions.

This can be accomplished by the individual user. However, our trained staff can complete the task for you as well. Our technicians are aware of general industry standards. Therefore, your databases will be understood correctly and transformed into the Excel file accurately.

Scanning and OCRing:

OCR - Optical Character Recognition is software that converts text scanned as a graphic into text a word processing program can use.

In most cases, clients send us hard copy of their rates databases or files in PDF, DOC, HTML, JPEG, GIF or other formats.

• First, we scan received documents using different types of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software and convert text and numbers from graphics into a machine readable format.
• We then use our unique technology to transform the captured data into an Excel file recognizable by our system.
• At this point, all recognized (OCR) data must be double-checked manually in order to avoid possible errors during scanning.
• Finally we return the Excel file to our service-partners so they can upload it to web server and work with the database using their Web Admin.

Please note: Once your database is transformed into an Excel file the first time, you can thereafter edit the file without any assistance from our staff.

Manual Data Entry:

Databases in hard copy form, files that cannot be OCRed, and complex or incomplete databases should be entered manually into an Excel file. Certainly this routine and annoying job should be done by professionals. We offer this service as well.

Custom Script for Our Clients:

Once you have a database in Excel format, you can work with the spreadsheet, format it in different way from the Excel format and transfer it in a different file format thereafter. Our technicians can write different scripts and reformat your databases automatically with no manual labor involved. Just let us know what you need!

Pricing:

As mentioned above we offer the Database Entry service as an additional benefit of being our service partner. Our fee will be assessed for each individual job depending on complexity of the database and quality of the sources provided. Our average fee to cover our labor and other expenses connected with data entry tasks is USD 15-30 per hour.
